McKenna Andrews
Audio Arts Student / Violist
ABOUT
McKenna Andrews is a high school audio student who primarily is focused on live sound production. McKenna is currently based at her local high school in Wisconsin as a the lead sound technician for all productions, with her debut as sound designer starting with SPIN Decades (see press page for more information about SPIN Decades and other projects). She has worked alongside professional mixers in productions at Xavier Fine Arts Theatre such as Christmas Stars and All Rise! for over 4 years. Additionally, McKenna has also been the front of house mixer for many community theatre performances locally, as well as expanding her horizons and being a part of St. Norbert College's NextStage production of Brigadoon in the summer of 2023.

As well as audio arts, McKenna will be further enriching her passion of viola. They have been playing the viola for 8 years and they continue to pursue new opportunities. She has played with various chamber orchestras through the Arthur M. Krempin School of Music & Arts, and has been a part of the Fox Valley Youth Symphony Youth Orchestra as of the 2022-2023 season. McKenna has competed in competitions, and has received classical training from professional-level violists from Lawrence University.

In the 2023-2024 season, McKenna will continue as lead sound technician/sound designer for her high school's upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz, as well as Christmas Stars and All Rise! as the front of house mixer (A1). She also plans to return to the Fox Valley Youth Symphony Youth Orchestra playing viola. In May 2024, she will perform Max Bruch's Romanze Op. 85 for Viola with the Xavier High School Orchestra.
